Working with trusted partners

To bring its office vision to life, Summerset has partnered with Expedite and long-time design collaborator Designgroup Stapleton Elliott (DGSE). Together, we’ve set out to design a modern, flexible environment that supports how its people work and interact.

DGSE spearheaded a rapid design charrette process to gather ideas from four designers and co-create the final design. We’ve worked closely with DGSE to translate that creativity into feasible construction plans that can be built efficiently and on budget.

Delivered Smooth & Fast

We partnered with DGSE architects and employed cost-effective careful design planning to re-purpose the existing fit-out to spend money in the right areas. Minimising disruption with stage delivery over Christmas while staff are mostly on leave.

Only 5 months from design kick off to construction completion

Smart planning will lead to smooth delivery

The refurbishment will happen in four stages, commencing in December 2025, with the bulk of the work completed over Christmas Day and Boxing Day, continuing to March 2026. To maintain productivity and minimise disruption, Expedite is using alternate floor schedules – completing work on one level before moving onto the next one.

Summerset’s priority is balancing quality and budget. Expedite is helping make that possible. By locking in scope, cost and timeline early, there’s little chance of any unwelcome surprises. Getting trades to the site ahead of time means that, like our other projects, Summerset’s flagship office is on track to finish on time and on budget.

From concept to construction

Expedite works as the single point of accountability, coordinating design, construction and delivery so that every element aligns. By partnering closely with DGSE, we could help refine the creative ideas so that they were practical, buildable and ultimately finished to a high standard.

Making the plan work

Using an agile project model, Expedite will manage every stage of the refurbishment, construction and installation. Regular progress tracking and continuous communication with all parties involved will ensure we meet key milestones, inform stakeholders appropriately, and keep the project within the agreed-upon budget.

Building safely around people

To protect staff safety and maintain access, Expedite has separated construction and office areas. Dedicated entry points keep construction contained, so the Summerset team can continue to work without interruption. We’ll also leverage the holiday shutdown period to complete the most disruptive work safely and efficiently.

What we delivered

Expedite is delivering Summerset’s flagship office fit-out through a rapid, staged programme that balances speed, cost and care for the people who work there. The result: a fresh, functional workplace that embodies Summerset’s culture and future direction.
